Applications of BBa_K3807018

Used in the experiments for "improvement of an existing part" to improve upon the characteristics of a theophylline riboswitch (BBa_K598005) in the iGEM registry. The promoter is an inducible promoter that works well with low-copy number plasmids. The TetA-sfGFP fusion functions as a dual-selection marker to select the desired mutants of the riboswitch (positive selection through addition of tetracycline in the presence of theophylline, negative selection through the addition of NiCl2 in absence if the riboswitch ligand). A library of riboswitch mutants to be selected was created through using our EvolvR system.
